Once again, ask thanks to Max Riffner for stepping up to the plate and providing art chores this week. He’s a gentleman and a scholar and has rakishly good looks, ladies.
Love the customer almost scared to make a purchase and taken aback by the judge dred type helment”s flashing want a bag. the one guy has to be Rick the other guy either Aaron can not tell with the helmet
Nice Daft Punk reference. Are you missing a decimal point? $3.99 vs $400 seems like a big jump, unless I’m missing something.
$400 would be the approximate cost of two Daft Punk helmets.
Is there a place to actually buy Daft Punk helmets? Because if so, I need to start selling my blood now.
DAFT PUNK IS PLAYING IN MY COMICS SHOP
(seriously, can we get that mashup? Maybe LCD Soundsystem’s song vs. Paul McCartney’s Magneto and Titanium Man, or something?)
Also, more Riffner. I see Obama did get my emails. Now will someone get the Secret Service off my lawn?
Doesn’t Google have a feature that lets you un-send a stupid email? Can I have that for my previous comment?
In the spirit of constructive criticism, can I say that I had a hard time reading the third panel, because the speech ballon is spoken in response to text that is lower and farther to the right than the speech balloon itself?
I can’t help reading it as:
CUSTOMER: “Uh, yeah, I’ll take a bag.”
HELMETS: “$3.99 BAG?”
I totally missed the joke/reference this issue. It took the comments section to shine some light on it. Which is a shame.
What’s happened to Birdie this week by the way? Did I miss something? GAH need more coffee!
“the one guy has to be Rick the other guy either Aaron can not tell with the helmet”
Lydia’s in the white shirt – you can see the long hair sticking out either side.
Man I love Max Riffner. (Jon H- shh… I don’t think we’re acknowledging chad any longer)
I totally forgot to thank Chad for his analysis. THANKS, CHAD.
And I’m sorry that “Undeadboy” didn’t get the joke. That was a shame.
Your sarcasm is duly noted Kevin…
Well, damn. Now I have to get a pair of Daft Punk helmets.
Got a link?
Squeamish- $65,000. Or you can make your own.
