I’m pretty sure there’s already at least three slashfic novels centered around that second image.

  1. Mark Clapham says:

I like that they’ve gone from ‘no flight, no tights’ to ‘giant yellow helmet and a blue leather crotch flap’.

Millar and Gough must be spinning in their graves. OK, technically they’re not dead, but after that Mummy movie they’re dead to *me*.

  2. Michael says:

I stopped watching this years ago but there’s always someone forwarding me pics of super hero guests or telling me this character or that character made an appearance. Who in Crom’s name is left to appear on this show? Has B’wana Beast showed? Vibe? Dolphin? Sheesh!

  3. Baltimoron says:

    Mark-

The idea behind putting the JSA in relatively accurate costumes is to highlight the generational divide between the older heroes and the show’s main characters.

At least, that’s what I figure. I don’t watch the show.

  4. Did not know this show was still on the air. I honestly thought it ended five years ago.

  5. JIM says:

I have never watched Smallville but I totally would if Vibe showed up.

  6. Dominic says:

It looks like they are ditching the teen drama angle, (thankfully). But, will appealling to hard-core comics fans work? They will have a vocal, if narrow, audience similar to the old “Star Trek” series.

    Dom
    -but is it actually good?

  7. Jon H says:

Is that a crossbow with a one-sided bow?

  8. Mike says:

Stargirl looks pissed. I would be too if my mask made me look like I had the Martian Manhunter’s forehead.

  9. dingo says:

I’d totally watch a show about stargirl’s gravity rod.

  10. Garth says:

I’m one of the handful of people who still watch this superhero soap opera.
I think I’ll love parts of this episode. Especially Sandman:
