Church Says:
Yes, Scott Pilgrim is out and everyone’s very excited for it except for me, it seems. I adore the books and think the movie looks pretty good, but I’m fine with waiting for it to hit DVD, mostly because the chirping masses who talk about nothing but the movie have driven me deep into my hate-cave. There, I nourish myself on bugs and the occasional naked mole rat that somehow tunnels its way into my lair.
On a less entomophagic note, the very nice and very talented Laura Park is suffering quite badly from a herniated disc. This freelance cartoonist and illustrator is asking for donations to help fix this problem and I urge you to take a moment or two to give a little bit to her fund.

Fricking everybody saw fricking Scott Pilgrim in fricking San Diego except me. (or, well… ALL of Team Agreeable, really)
Also, Birdie is still doing this thing where he’s amazing on these color strips. Even the layout for panel 4 made me laugh.
Wait, is this a question of 80s action movies cliches vs. 80s video game cliches?
My god, we’re old now, aren’t we?
PIlgrim the movie is good…not quite as good as the books, but still quite good. If you like Edgar Wright’s other movies and TV projects, you’ll like this. And no, it didn’t make me feel old.
They’ve been running crazy homoerotic ads for the Expendables all over Logo for like the last week and a half.

That is the best news I’ve heard in years. Seriously.
Just wanted to add that I love the new colored comics! Great job Birdie.
