Morning Sickness

Morning Sickness

Friday, October 30th, 2009

“Pregnancy is teaching me the power of hormones. During the first trimester, two effects of hormonal shifts led to a difficult situation: awake in the middle of the night after a trip to the bathroom I would often be nauseated. This left me with two options:

  1. Stay nauseated and maybe make another trip to the bathroom for a different reason.
  2. Or eat some crackers, feel better, and go back to sleep.

For obvious reasons I chose the second option, and while I am sure Clarence agrees this is the better choice, it was still unexpected to wake up to midnight crunching. I think we were both equally annoyed that morning sickness is a misnomer, and it should actually be called ALL THE TIME SICKNESS (with caps).” –Planet Wifey

You know the horror movies where the main character is freaking out because they can hear the zombie feasting on the dead in the darkness? That is my life right now. Plus, crumbs. In the bed. The upside is that if I get hungry, there is plenty to munch on without having to hit the kitchen!

BTW, I hope you dig the artwork by my man, Chris. I really think he knocked it out of the park with his first official Planet Wifey strip! Look for more from him over the coming weeks and months.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to find some cheese for these crackers…
