Hey, all you The Loneliest Astronauts fans, you’ll want to check out the pinup that Ming was kind enough to do for one of my other webcomics, The Rack. Between that, this strip, and her Marvel Comics debut in Girl Comics this week, your Ming Doyle collection can now begin in earnest!
Astronauts Dan and Steve are stuck in a distant alien solar system, the last survivors of a mission that went horribly wrong and left the rest of their ten-strong crew dead. They’re light years from home on an airless moon, living on carefully-rationed supplies, and unable to contact Earth. The worst part of all this? They hate each other’s guts.

Quite the unexpected shift in tone! The alien is very creepy indeed.
its ironic because while the astronauts are saying their mission is pointless there is a alien life form that they don’t see right outside their tent. because we see the alien starting in the third panel, we know that they are missing an amazing galaxy discovery. it would be funny to show expressions like of indifference on the astronauts faces, that would emfasize the humor and its humorousness in the situation.

This thing on the moon caused a primal numbing fear of my forebrain. It was like being hissed at by a snake covered in bees. Kudos? Also: I don’t think I’ll be brave enough to EVER READ YOUR COMIC AGAIN.
Which is a shame, because I was enjoying it.
