“You’ll find out”, eh…? What a tease. I’m wagering that she’s an agent for whoever the shady character was in the prologues… within a few minutes her “outraged husband” will come storming in, giving an excuse for Sam to be slung out of town before he can ask too many questions (and maybe a battering for good measure).
Come on guys, I’m sure shes just a gal who would like a drink and isn’t comfortable giving out her personal information to strangers. (Obviously, this being a small town, shes more than comfortable just walking into peoples spaces, however!)
She Died In Terrebonne is a year-long mystery set in rural Oregon in the 1970s. It updates every Thursday at noon. It is written by Kevin Church and drawn by T.J. Kirsch. Write to them at kimimura@agreeablecomics.com.
Girl in a bikini drawn very nicely aside, I am really enjoying the mystery you are setting up here.
Good lord I’m loving this.
It’s like Hotel Dusk in comic form… Lots of witty banter makes me happy.
Can I just say that Sam has really, really awesome hair?
Love the ol’ ‘bikini top and jean shorts’ combo. That said, I’m getting the urge to scream ‘run while you still can’ at Sam.
I get a Daniel Clowes vibe from this scene, except I don’t get the feeling anyone is about to do something unspeakably fucked up. I like it a lot!
Well, we know SHE’S going to be trouble.
I don’t think she’ll have a gun wth those pants, maybe a knife?
Wonderful to know something so deliciously wrought is happening in my home state. Great comic so far, yo.

I’ll take that bet, RJF.
