And before you ask: yes, Nan Bu Nan is releasing a collected edition, but it will only feature the main story, none of the bonuses that we’ve put into the single issues.

While you’re all sitting here I want to take a second here to bloviate about TJ and his contribution to this strip. I knew what I wanted to do with this comic: tell a story that’s not like anything that I’ve done elsewhere. While it may have elements of noir and use the “mystery” tag as a misnomer, TJ immediately understood that for me, it was about the drama, about how fucked up people are and how simple plots don’t necessarily mean simple stories. His art has reflected this aesthetic perfectly and there have been more than a few times where what I scripted didn’t really feel alive in my head until he’d rendered it. It’s a partnership that I’m very lucky to have and, hopefully, Sam Kimimura will return in the future.

Now, the important question that I know you’ve been begging to ask: “Kevin, how can I continue to support the strip?”

Well, now that it’s over, you’ve got no excuse to not tell your friends that whine about waiting for things to read the damned thing. We’ll have the third and fourth issues of the single editions — both of which will feature all-new Sam Kimimura stories — on the virtual shelves at the Agreeable Comics shop soon.

(Also, we’re currently talking with a very nice group of people that think that readers like yourself may want to have a bound collection of this, perhaps with additional material that goes beyond the singles and what’s on the site. We’ll have more on that in our various social media outlets in the near future, along with some kind of announcement here. The goal is to have it ready for San Diego Comic-Con 2011.)

Tons of thank yous to the readers and supporters of the comic. This has been the most rewarding project I’ve worked on in my brief cartooning career. I can’t tell you how much the visibility of this strip has done as far as building up a “name” for my work. Also, a HUGE thank you to Kevin. I couldn’t have picked a better collaborator for something like this. Guys, he knows what he’s doing. Plus, he’s a hustler and he promotes better than I ever could on my own. Continue to support the Agreeable Comics brand, because every one of those comics is a true labor of love and I think that comes through.

As for the image above, that’s the cover to our third collection, which should be in out in the next couple of months. It’s going to feature a bonus backup story as well as the third act of the strip, so you should definitely get in on that.
